rofl, i stopped playing ffxi in 2005. this video was probably recorded sometime in 2004. when i was done, my WHM and NIN were 75 and i had two or three other jobs between 60-70.

Haha. I went into this forgetting the right medicines. I had to literally pace myself. Eventually I just took a Hermes Quencher and ran for it with Regen up to help me. The second Maat hit me, he gave up. It was nice

in whm maat you don’t have to kill him, just endure his hits for a certain amount of time/hp then you win!

You win this fight by healing an unknown amount of HP. The challenge is staying alive long enough to heal that much.
